America's Heartland

America's Heartland is home to some of our nation's most successful policy reforms and Sagamore researchers have been at the center of the action from invention to implementation.  We believe public policy should serve the entire public-not just the policymakers in Washington, DC- and we are committed to turning ideas into action.  Therefore, we test many of the leading innovations in policy in our home state of Indiana and surrounding states to improve the condition of these places and to gain insight into what works, what doesn't and why.  We then translate our findings into common sense solutions that can be adopted by public officials in Washington and the states as well as philanthropists and nonprofit sector leaders.
